We visited Denby Pottery for tea and cake on the 19th July 2023 thanks to funding by the Erewash CVS. All thoroughly enjoyed it and loved talking to each other and getting to know each other better.

Our group recently held a fundraiser for local food bank and community pantry Oscari. We're pleased to announce we raised £205.00. The event was attended by the Mayor of Ripley Town – Paul Lobley and the Amber Valley Mayor & Mayoress - Tony Holmes and Lindsey Cox. Donations of cake to sell from the group went down well. The community were very generous and helped to raise so much. A good time was had by all. A special mention to David – who helped tidy and arrange the room back and also Debbie – who was fantastic in the kitchen, suppling everyone with drinks, and finally Joe and Axl. Joe kept them singing and Axl recorded the day with taking the photos.

Valerie Gee
Val was a founding member of our group and a very good friend. She had a lovely singing voice and a wicked sense of humour. She will be sadly missed.

Our group was pleased to pay a visit to Stepping Stones Group at Heanor on Wednesday 3rd August. A great time was had by all and it was also Martyn’s 51st birthday.

We have been successfully awarded a grant from Ripley Town Council to help with transport costs to and from our group. This will help our members so much with the cost of travel. Many thanks to all at the Council for this generous grant.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and for helping to make the event a success.

Wellbeing Wednesday Singing Group has been running since 2017, we are a relaxed and informal group that aim to improve our members wellbeing by taking part in group singing.
Our group also has a strong social element built around it, and we provide mutual friendship to each other as well as organising a variety of events and social activities for our members.
New members are most welcome, from experienced singers to people who have never sang before and just want to give it a go.
